Odisha Government to establish Ultra-modern Filigree Hub in Cuttack

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government has planned to establish an ultra-modern filigree hub in Cuttack under the scheme Assistance to States for Development of Export Infrastructure and Allied Activities (ASIDE). For this project, the state government has directed the district administration of Cuttack to provide a suitable land for this purpose after a letter served to the latter by the Textiles and Handlooms department recently. After getting the required land from the district administration, the infrastructural development and construction work of the filigree will be expedited, said Textiles and Handlooms Minister Snehangini Chhuria in the State Assembly here today. Replying to a question, the Minister said the State Government is committed to the all-round development of the artists who are famous for their handicrafts and silver filigree crafts in state and outside of it. I was not surprised with the sudden invention of my friend as I know some of servitors of Lord Jagannath. When he said that the servitor is the doctor (Baidya) of three deities (Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra), I get amused and made up my mind to meet the doctor. I knocked at the door to know how he performs his duty as doctor and what type of medicines he prepares for the deities and on which day.
