National Rapid and Blitz Chess Championship organised by RSP concludes

Rourkela, Apr 29: The four day National Rapid and Blitz Chess Championship organised by Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) in association with All Odisha Chess Association (AOCA) at Rourkela Club concluded today. G S Prasad, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of RSP graced the concluding function as the Chief Guest. Among others present on the occasion were Dr A K Singh, Director (M&HS), S Pradhan, GM (Finance), P K Pradhan, GM In-charge (P&A), Rehman Khan, GM (Town Services) and R Mohanty, Vice-President, AOCA. Bhubaneswar, Apr 29: Expressing solidarity with the Nepal earthquake victims, toddlers in Odisha capital today set out on a skating rally on the streets of capital city to raise funds for the cause. The members of city-based Odisha Roller Skating Academy (ORSA) here approached the denizens to contribute generously as per their paying capacity towards the earthquake ravaged victims in neighbouring country Nepal in which the death toll crossed over 5000 and is likely to touch 10000. Partha Sarathi Jena, Founder-cum-Chief Coach of the ORSA said, “For the recent earth quake in Nepal, I along with 14 students who were imparted skating training in the academy today joined hand and raised funds as much as possible for the victims.” “We started the noble programme on Tuesday and it will continue till Friday. CEO, RSP inaugurating Sanitary Napkin Centre Rourkela, Apr 20: Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, has been striving for promoting women empowerment in domains such as health, livelihood, education etc. Yet another chapter in this regard has been written with the establishment of a low cost sanitary napkins manufacturing centre at Deepika Mahila Jagruti Sansthan, Sector-2, Rourkela. The centre has been set up with the support of RSP-CSR and with the help of Deepika Mahila Sanghati (DMS), under the dynamic leadership of its President, Mrs. Manjari Prasad.
