“We should be in the driver’s seat and not in driven seat,” emphasises CEO, RSP
Rourkela,
Jan 1: “We should be in the driver’s seat and not in driven seat. We should
control the situation and the situation should not control us,” emphasised G S
Prasad, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) while
interacting with the employees of various departments during his visit to
various units of the steel plant to convey his greetings to the employees on
the occasion of New Year.
He
expressed confidence that the New Year will be even better than the past year
and RSP will be touching new peaks of excellence in production as well as
profitability in the year 2015. “Each employee has to make an effort to
catapult RSP to the next orbit,” he stressed.
It
is worth mentioning here that the CEO along with Umesh Kumar, ED (MM), MK Das,
ED (Projects), SK Acharya, ED (Projects), Ashwini Kumar, ED (Works) and other
senior officers visited all the major units of the Plant and the Township. The
employees reciprocated their wishes with immense warmth and respect.
The
CEO also inaugurated ‘Swagat Udyan’ a beautiful garden developed at the
entrance of the Administration Block under the Amar Bagicha- Paryavaran Chakra
scheme.
In
his message to the RSP collective on the occasion of New Year the CEO has said,
“I have always believed that ‘Past is history and Future is about creation of
history’. The challenges that we face in the year 2014 were substantial, but
our achievements were no less significant. We have started a tapasya (worship)
to make our Steel Plant the best in every way, be it quality, quantity, cost
effectiveness or competitiveness and also a harbinger of progress and prosperity
for the entire region.”
“We
can’t take a break till we achieve the desired results. Today 365 blank pages
have been spread before us. Let’s decide, what should we record in these pages
and how these pages should be counted in the history of RSP- as ordinary papers
carrying mundane data or a thriving saga of courage, conviction and commitment-
the choice is ours. ”
