Union Minister Jual Oram to inaugurate the ‘Innovation Carnival’ at NIT Rourkela

Rourkela: Foundation for Technology and Business Incubation (FTBI), NIT Rourkela’s Innovation carnival 2018 will be inaugurated on Saturday by Minister of Tribal Affairs JualOram. Smart city CEO Rashmita Panda and internationally acclaimed fashion designer Bibhu Mohapatra will also grace the occasion. KIIT to host 39th World Congress of Poets

Bhubaneswar: 39 th  World Congress of Poets (WCP) will be organized in KIIT in October 2019. It was declared by the World Academy of Arts and Culture (WAAC) in presence of Dr. Maurus Young, President; Prof. Dr. Ernesto Kahan, Vice President and Dr. Maria Eugenia Soberanis, General Secretary of WAAC in the 38th World Congress of Poets hosted in Suiyang County of China's Guizhou Province from 10 to 16 October 2018.  WAAC and KIIT will jointly organize the 39th WCP. More than 1000 poets, writers including Noble Laureates from 75 countries and 2000 delegates from India will participate in the Congress. During the 38th WCP, WAAC declared to honour Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS with its highest award "Golden Gabel" and confer Honorary D.Litt on him. Science Exhibition held at Ispat Vidyamandir of Rourkela Steel Plant

Rourkela, Nov 23: The Annual Science Exhibition of Ispat Vidyamandir in Sector-19 was held in the institution campus here on Monday. Prof. SS Pattnaik, Vice-Chancellor of Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The students of the institution presented 39 exhibits on various topics.  All the exhibits were highly appreciated by the guests. Subrat Kumar Sahoo, Retired Senior Reader in Physics and Mrs Supriti Das, Assistant Manager, Education, Ispat English Medium School of Sector-20 judged the exhibits. Later prizes were given to the winners.  The head of the institution, Mrs Meena Satpathy, presided over the function and delivered the introductory speech. B Mohapatra coordinated and proposed a formal vote of thanks.

NIT Rourkela among Top 10 Government T-Schools in DQ-CMR Survey 2015

Rourkela, May 23: National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela has been placed in Top 10 Government T-School in Dataquest-CMR Survey 2015, informed a press release issued today by the institute. NIT, Rourkela This is India’s top tech-schools rank based on survey of colleges, employees and alumni which includes all IITs, NITs and CFTIs. Every year Dataquest (DQ) brings the spotlight back to the T-Schools in India, which have nurtured the great minds, by ranking the T-Schools on the basis of a survey conducted in conjunction with the Cyber Media Research (CMR). The DQ-CMR T-School Survey 2014-15 has taken an interesting step by putting the private and government T-Schools into different lists.
