SER GM urged to improve passenger service
Rourkela: Matters pertaining to improvement of passenger amenities, introduction of new trains, extension of some existing trains, increase of frequency of some trains and enhancement of number of air conditioned coaches were among a host of issues came up for discussion today during the visit of the General Manager of South Eastern Railway (SER), A K Verma to the steel city. Representatives of different organizations during a discussion with the GM at the Officers’ Guest House of Rourkela Railway Station, requested him to take necessary steps for early completion of Bimalagarh-Talcher Rail Corridor, extension of railway line from Roxy siding to Bansapani via Koira, extension of railway line from Kiriburu to Barbil and rail connectivity from Angul to Sukinda via Rourkela-Talcher route.
