Bachan Sudha Murder case: Psychoanalysis test conducted on security guard
Dipti Ranjan Patnaik |
The test was
conducted by an expert Dr Asha Shrivastav, a clinical psychologist of the
Central Forensic Science Laboratory in New Delhi and is also working for the
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), to examine the mental status of the
accused.
During the
marathon interrogation held at the Commissionerate Police headquarters here,
the security guard was asked on crime related questions in order to find
possible involvement of more persons in the related crime. He was quizzed by
the expert in an isolated room. The whole interrogation process took around
seven hours which started from 9 am in the morning.
“The result
of the test will be submitted by the expert soon,” said Twin City Commissioner
of Police Dr RP Sharma, adding, “Though we have substantial physical evidence
of the prime accused Patnaik, but after getting the result from the expert it
would add more caps to the investigation.”
In the
morning, Dr Shrivastav was briefed about the whole incident and then she went
to the crime spot, where the businesswoman was killed, to get physically
exposure so that she can able to frame questions for the test.
The expert
framed questions herself for the test and asked the accused in the isolated
room about different angles of the murder, police sources said. The expert
might have asked him if anybody else aided and abetted the crime basing on the
suspicion of the victim’s family members that several others are involved in
the crime, apart from the key accused, added the police sources.
The police
brought Pattnaik from Jharpada jail in the morning on Wednesday and took him to
the Mancheswar police station for interrogation. The police had requested the
Bhubaneswar SDJM court to take Pattnaik on remand in order to get more
information from him about the murder of the managing director of Madhukan
Finance and subsequently the court on Tuesday had allowed the cops to take him
on remand.
After this
test, Sharma said that the police might go for DNA test of the blood stained
shirt to know whether more persons were involved in the crime or not.
