Japanese delegates visit Odisha Khadi and Village Industries Board

Bhubaneswar, Sept 2: A team of Tokyo based Japanese’s Company delegates headed by Takeaki Yamamoto, Chairman Japan Communication today visited Odisha Khadi and Village Industries Board and discussed with Board’s President Tejeswar Parida on prospects of village industries in Odisha in Japan Model cottage industries.

Board’s President Parida urged the Japanese delegates to extend cooperation for entrepreneurship and infrastructure development and establishment of train centres.

During the discussion it was decided to explore the possibilities Odisha and Japan collaboration to develop new type of village industries and entrepreneurship activities in remote rural and tribal areas of Odisha. The team of delegates in memory of their visit to the State’s Old Gandhian Statutory Board planted sapling in the board premises.

Later they visited the departmental sales depot with the board president and purchased some special kind of Khadi clothes and village industries items.
