Swachhta Pakhwada observed by employees of RSP

Rourkela, June 27: As a part of the Swachh Bharat Mission of Government of India, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has been observing Swachhta Pakhwada from June 16. The event will continue till June 30.

A pledge taking ceremony was held at the CEO Conference hall on June 20 to mark the occasion. Ashwini Kumar, Chief Executive Officer of RSP chaired the session and also administered the pledge.

Pledge taking ceremonies as well as cleaning campaigns were also held in different units in which many senior officers and employees took part. Some of the Departments are Projects, Personnel Department, Public Relations Department, HRDC, Computer hall, Hydraulic Room, Ispat General Office, CPP-I, Traffic & Raw Materials Department, Sinter Plant – II, Blast Furnace, Steel Melting Shop-I, Hot Strip Mill, Special Plate Plant, Roll Shop, New Plate Mill, Traffic & Raw Material, Zone-1, Coke Oven, Battery No. 6, Silicon Steel Mill, Cold Rolling Mill, Calcining Plant-II, Personnel Canteen and Swadisht Canteen. Besides, swachhata campaigns were also held in Sector-7 and Sector-2 community Centres.

The pledge was taken to fulfil the dream of Mahatma Gandhi to make India neat and clean. The employees also committed themselves to do voluntarily work for cleanliness and ensure that they neither litter nor let others litter.
