Adhunik bags 13th Greentech Environment Excellence Award

Rourkela: For the second time for its outstanding achievement in environment management, Adhunik Metallicks at Kuarmunda, Sundargarh has bagged the 13th edition of the prestigious Annual Greentech Enviromement Award-2012 in silver category in Metal and Mining. 

Environmental Head of Adhunik Metaliks Satendra Pal Singh received the award from Dr. Bhaskar Chandra Chaterjee, CEO of Indian Industrial Affairs and A K Hazarika, Director, offshore, ONGC, Delhi at a glittering ceremony held at Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel in Hyderabad on October 29.

On this achievement the HRD Head, Adhunik Metaliks, Kuarmunda B P Pandey expressed gratitude to all employees in maintaining environmental pollution and said this is the praise and pride for the local unit.

Vedvyas Mela kicks off

Rourkela: The 105th Vedvyas Mela was kicked off at the Vedvyas temple on the outskirts of the steel city on Maha Shivratri here last evening. Briefing newsmen on the occasion, Rourkela ADM Rabindranath Mishra spoke on the importance of the Mela and venue saying that the district administration has made elaborate arrangements for the visitors. Besides lightning, health and sanitation measures, adequate police forces have been deployed to oversee law and order situation and traffic. Besides, fire tenders have been also deployed to tackle any fire mishap during the Mela. The Administration has also put up barricades along the rivers bank to restrict the devotees from taking bath, the ADM informed. The state-of-the-art Blood Cell Separator is a Mobile Collection System and operates on the highly updated apheresis technology. It is a highly mobile, compact and lightweight total apheresis system and technically advanced. Once the operator initiates the MCS+ procedure, this sophisticated separator automatically removes whole blood from a donor, separates the blood into components (red blood cells, white blood cells, plasma, and platelets), retains one or more of the components, and returns the reminder of the blood to the donor.
