Adhunik bags 13th Greentech Environment Excellence Award

Rourkela: For the second time for its outstanding achievement in environment management, Adhunik Metallicks at Kuarmunda, Sundargarh has bagged the 13th edition of the prestigious Annual Greentech Enviromement Award-2012 in silver category in Metal and Mining. 

Environmental Head of Adhunik Metaliks Satendra Pal Singh received the award from Dr. Bhaskar Chandra Chaterjee, CEO of Indian Industrial Affairs and A K Hazarika, Director, offshore, ONGC, Delhi at a glittering ceremony held at Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel in Hyderabad on October 29.

On this achievement the HRD Head, Adhunik Metaliks, Kuarmunda B P Pandey expressed gratitude to all employees in maintaining environmental pollution and said this is the praise and pride for the local unit.

BMC places hoardings on campaign against plastic at prime locations

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has started its public campaign in Odia against plastic by placing hoardings at prime locations to make people aware. Two radio jingles are also aired through three FM stations to take the message to more people. Soon a tableau will also roll out to intensify the campaign and advertisements in film theatres on restricted use of plastic and Swachha Survekshyan 2019 will be screened, for more and more citizen participation. The campaign aimed at making the Capital City free from plastic/polythene speaks about bringing own tiffin boxes, bottles and bags to minimise the burden of plastic on the earth as the non-biodegradable substances have created a threat for human and animal lives and the fertility of the soil is going down.      Inauguration of Police Seva Kendra by Rourkela SP Himanshu Lal Rourkela: Rourkela SP Himanshu Lal inaugurated a Police Seva Kendra (PSK), at the Traffic Tower Police Station premises here yesterday. Speaking on the occasion, Lal said that the PSK through its online crime and criminal tracking network (CCTN) and systems, will be of great help to the Steel City police in attending crime related complaints of the people.
