Rourkela Steel Plant rewarded for best practices in training and HRD


Rourkela: The Human Resource Development (HRD) wing of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has been conferred with the “Best Practices in Training and HRD -2012” by the Hyderabad chapter of Indian Society of Training & development (ISTD).

This award was given in recognition of the innovative training and HRD initiatives by RSP. The citation commends the culture of RSP in adopting the best practices besides highlighting the efforts of HRD department in building and rebuilding competencies particularly in view of the new technologies being introduced in the expansion units.

T S Prakash, GM (HRD) received the award from Justice C V Ramulu of Andhra Pradesh High Court in a ceremony held at Administrative Staff college of India (ASCI), Hyderabad on 18th January this year.

In a simple ceremony held at his office yesterday, the RSP CEO, G S Prasad expressed happiness over this reward. Lauding the efforts of the HRD collective, Prasad urged them to double the efforts towards achieving excellence in People Building.

Among others, S N Roy, ED (Works), Dipankar Basu, ED (P&A), M K Das, ED (Projects), T S Prakash, Ramendra Kumar, DGM (PR), Jayant Sarkar, Senior Manager (HRD) and Niranjan Rout, Manager, CEO Secretariat were present on the occasion.
