NIT, Rourkela all set for ICCCS-2012
Rourkela: A three-day International conference titled ‘2nd
International Conference on Communication, Computing and Security (ICCCS)-2012’
is being organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of
National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela from tomorrow and will
continue till 08th October 2012.
The
conference will be inaugurated in the Bhubaneswar Behera Auditorium. The
inauguration function will be presided over by the Director of the institute.
The chief guest of the function will be B Yegnarayana, Professor and Microsoft
Chair, International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad.
The
objective of the conference is to bring together academic scientists,
professors, research scholars and students to share and disseminate information
on knowledge and scientific research work related to communication, computing
and security to discuss the practical challenges encountered, and solutions
adopted. The conference would provide the participants with opportunities for
national and international collaborations and networking among universities and
other institutions from India and abroad for promoting research and developing
technologies. This aims to promote translation of basic research into applied
investigations and convert applied investigations into practice. This
conference also creates awareness about the importance of basic scientific
research in different fields and matching this with the job market.
The
conference had received 514 research articles from 11 countries across the
globe, out of which 124 have been selected for presentation during the
conference. About 150 delegates from India and abroad will participate in the
conference. Experts from abroad will also participate in the conference. The
two experts from abroad are Lukas Kencl, Professor and Director, CTU
Ericson-Vodafone R&D Centre, Czech Technical University, Prague, Czech
Republic and Yung-Ming Li, Professor and Director, National Chiao Tung
University, Taiwan.
