OHPCL donates one crore towards CMRF

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Ltd. (OHPCL) contributed one crore rupees towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to help the people affected by the recent Cyclone “Phailin” followed by flood.

The Cheque was handed over to the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday by Sahadev Khatua, MD, OHPCL and senior officials of the company at the State Secretariat here in the presence of Arun Kumar Sahoo, Minister of Energy and PK Jena, Commisioner-cum-Secretary, Department of Energy.

In addition to this, to further provide a helping hand, OHPCL have also sent four teams consisting of skilled workmen from BHEP, Balimela, UKHEP, Bariniput, UIHEP, Mukhiguda and RHEP, Rengali to the heavily affected Ganjam District for electricity restoration work who are working there since October 15.
