Information centre of Amity inaugurated

Rourkela: Amity Information Centre (AIC), one-stop-centre and the first ever in Odisha was inaugurated at Koel Nagar here today.

Amity, one of India’s leading education groups, runs 5 universities, 13 B. Schools and 8 global campuses.

Being the Chief Guest on the occasion, Rourkela MLA Sarada Prasad Nayak well praised the organizer in opening such type of leading education group in Rourkela. Speaking on the importance of technical colleges and their impact on students in Rourkela including National Institute of Technology (NIT), Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), IIPM Kansbahal and others, Nayak said that students of Rourkela are keen to pursue their studies globally and Amity will serve them best.

Suman Bhatacharya, zonal manager, Amity Education Group, said Amity offers 250 programmes in India and abroad. The information centre will provide all information on courses offered, eligibility criteria, fee structure, bank loans, scholarships etc to seek regular and distance course and at the same time to join global universities. 22 students have already registered and registration process can be done online as well as in offline mode, he added.

Amity has its campuses across 20 cities in India and abroad. In Odisha, Bhubaneswar is one of its campuses. Under Amity education groups, there are 1,00,000 students, 3,500 faculty, 1000 acres of campuses, 5 universities, 150 plus institutions and centres, 17 schools and pre-schools, 47,000 on-campus placements over the last years and 8,500 scholarship holders.

Among others, Biplab Kumar Jana, Assistant Manager, Krishna Tiwari, Deputy Manager, staffs and students of Amity were present on the occasion.
