13 inmates of orphanage return home


Rourkela: As many as 13 inmates of Sarbabhoutika Anath Ashram, who were earlier sent to different childcare centres in Rourkela following allegation of sexual abuse, were handed over to their parents today after a meeting held in this regard at ITDA hall here by the local administration.

Six of them were brought back from Disha Childline; six from SOS Children’s village and one from Missionary of Charity, Shantibhawan. Earlier, eight inmates had been handed over to their parents and guardians, informed Abul Kalam Azad, member of Child Welfare Committee.

R N Mishra ADM Rourkela, Geetanjali Mohanty, CDPO Rourkela, and other members of different childcare centres were present in the meeting.
