Man commits suicide



Rourkela: A man killed himself by committing suicide outside NIT campus near Kalinga market here. As per sources, Nabaghana Nayak (60) a shopkeeper set a blaze himself on fire using kerosene oil. He was found dead by the locals today.

According to the Chuman Kumar Singh, President, Kalinga Market, Nayak on harassment committed suicide as on yesterday due to tete-a-tete with his son on monetary issue forced him to do so.  Due to closure of NIT main gate, where lies his hotel in Kalinga Market, disturbed Nayak because of less number of customers resulting to financial crisis.

After this incident the members of Kalinga market demanded an inquiry on this matter and asked the administration for compensation to the deceased family.

Later his body was taken for a post-mortem for an investigation.

In the meantime Sub-Collector Panposh S B Mishra committed Rs. 10,000 assistance from Red-Cross fund as an initial compensation as informed by Kalinga market committee Secretary H K Mahapatra.
