Woman Maoist nabbed


Rourkela: Himanshu Lal, SP, Rourkela in a media brief informed that one female CPI (Maoist) cadre named Munguli Purti alias Munguli Pui (19, of Rakhma, Ratamati under Chhotanagra Police Station of Jharkhand) was apprehended from Saranda Jungle near Topadihi under K Bolang PS near Odisha- Jharkhand border during a search operation by the SOG, DVF and local police under the supervision of Additional SP, Gopal Gupta. During interrogation, she stated to have been present in a Maoist camp in a jungle near Mundatola (Langalkata) under K Bolang PS in the month of June.

She also confessed that there was an exchange of fire between the Maoists and Police during on 18th June 2012 in which a temporary camp of CPI (Maoists) was destroyed and a huge cache of arms, ammunitions and other articles were recovered. She has been arrested in Case No.- 23 / 2012 of K Bolang PS under section 147/148/120/121 (A)/122/307/149 of IPC, 25/27 Arms Act, 3/4 E.S. Act, 16/18/20/23/39 U.A.P Act and 7/17 Cr.L.A. Act (Langalkata exchange of fire case).

Prior to this, two hardcore Maoists, Salkhan Oram and Daharu Munda were arrested and forwarded to court in the same case. They are suspected to have been involved in several Maoist incidents activities in Jharkhand.
