‘Arthayan-2012’ to focus on entrepreneurship

Rourkela: The Entrepreneurship cell of National Institute of Technology, Rourkela will organize ‘Arthayan-2012’, the college’s techno-management fest in coming November.

Entrepreneurship cell or E-Cell was established to create a new breed of technopreneurs and sociopreneurs with new ideas and technology and to motivate students to take entrepreneurship to create jobs as a matter of challenge and pride. It is the most respected technical club registered under the Student Activity Centre (SAC) of NIT Rourkela. The E-Cell has been actively involved in the techno-management fest of NIT Rourkela, INNOVISION, one of the most anticipated techno management fests of Odisha with Arthayan being the flagship event of the E-Cell.

According to sources, ‘Arthayan-2012’ is a platform where minds unite and ideas take flight. The event is scheduled from Nov 9 to Nov 11, 2012 and will be coordinated by Mukund Agarwal, a B.Tech and Chief Coordinator of E-Cell with a dedicated team of E-Cell members.

‘Conceivia’, the annual business plan competition which has made its mark in the past and has been an integral part of the fest will offer more exciting and bigger cash prizes than ever. “The shortlisted candidates would be mentored by top professionals excelling in this field in association with Nurture Talent Academy. They also will get an opportunity to pitch before eminent personalities, investors, and other academic and industry leaders”, Mukund Agarwal said.

Another interesting event of the fest is ‘Sharemandi’ which is basically an online virtual stock market giving tactility about the real stock market.

‘Market-O-Mania’, is an investment cum real time marketing extravaganza of established ventures. Business simulation game is organized in association with ‘iInteract’. ‘Seal the Deal’, another interesting event aims to bring out the hidden entrepreneurship in students in a delightful manner.
