RIC to organize workshop on fly-ash bricks on Oct 12

Rourkela: Regional Industries Centre (RIC), Rourkela, in collaboration with Development Alternatives, New Delhi, will organize a workshop on ‘Promotion of Cleaner Brick Production Technologies focusing on Fly-Ash Brick Production at Rourkela’ at Brahmani Club, here on October 12.

The representatives from various Industrial organizations, SAIL, RSP, NSPCL and other Government departments are likely to attend the workshop, which aims at propagating the new eco-friendly technologies among the entrepreneurs to manufacture economically viable and profitable fly-ash bricks.

Focus on strengthening basic policing: Sinha

Rourkela: Newly appointed Superintendent of Police, Amitendra Nath Sinha, said that he will give top to basic policing to deal with law and order and prevention of road accident. Interacting with media persons, Sinha said that a plan is being made to carry out policing with the involvement of all citizens of Rourkela. Cooperation from all sections of society is required for a peaceful, disciplined society, he added. “For better policing, we have launched a website www.rourkelapolice.in with provision of receiving complaints on-line,” the SP noted. “We have also decided to put information boards with telephone numbers of all police stations at all tourist places in a bid to curb anti-social activities. In case of any emergency, one can dial 100 to seek help from Police Seva Kendra (PSK) which was made operational in December,” Sinha added.
