National Law Day observed


Rourkela: Civil Court, Rourkela, today observed National Law Day. It was organised by Taluk Legal Services Committee (TLSC), Panposh here.

Speaking on the occasion, Muralidhar Parija, senior advocate said that lawyers should not misuse the law. He spoke on the significance of November 26 as National Law Day.

On November 26, 1949, the drafting of the Constitution by the Constituent Assembly, headed by Dr. B R Ambedkar, was completed after 2 years, 11 months and 17 days.

It is an important day for legal fraternity in India, he said, adding that all should celebrate and recognize those who have played active role in upholding the rule of law and protected rights and liberties of individual.

Shyam Bhakt Mishra, Sub-Collector Panposh, Janab Md Ajmal, the Additional District Judge annd Chairman of TLSC, Ramesh Chandra Bal, President, Bar Association, Rourkela and other lawyers of the Civil Court were present.
