RGH doctor in vigilance net

Rourkela: The Vigilance sleuths today conducted raids on the residences of assistant surgeon of Rourkela General Hospital (RGH) Dr. Rajat Ranjan Sadual and seized cash worth Rs. 28 lakh, apart from gold ornaments, bank pass books and other incriminating documents.

The Vigilance raid came after tips-off about possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. According to Inspector, Vigilance Department, Rourkela, P K Nayak, the team comprising Sambalpur Vigilance DSP T Tiga, Rourkela Vigilance DSP P K Das and Sundargarh Vigilance DSP Parmeswar Kishan today raided Sadual’s residence at Panposh and houses of his father-in-law at Civil Township (T-30) here. The department had got specific information about disproportionate assets possessed by him, Nayak informed.

Nayak informed that Sadual’s accounts in State Bank of India and Bank of India are under the scanner of Vigilance while assessment is on to ascertaining the value of the assets seized from the assistant surgeon of RGH.

Sadual, who is currently working as an assistant surgeon at RGH, had earlier worked at several places in the district.
