Rudradhara Dance Festival expected to pack a punch

Rourkela: The performances of Kathak dancer Anurekha Ghosh from London University and Kathakali dancer Ramayani Roy from Kolkata will be the main attraction at the two-day Rudradhara Dance Festival, which will be organized by Debnrutyam Organization at Civic Center here. “This is the second year of the festival. The first year was a resounding success”, said Dedasish Patnaik of Debnrutyam, who is an acclaimed classical dancer.

On Day one of the festival, 96 dancers from Debnrutyam Institution will perform various classical dances. On the second day, artistes from Andhra Pradesh, Kolkata and Ahmedabad will perform various dances like Bharatnatyam, Odissi, Kuchipudi, etc.

Subrat Tarai, Commerce and Transport Minister and G S Prasad, CEO, RSP along with several others will attend the festival. A press meet regarding the festival was organized today, in which Debashish Patnaik, Director of Debnrutyam and his associate Priyanka Mishra along with Dibyasingha Pattnaik, Anil Mallik, Minakshi Dhar and Media Co-ordinator Mahendra Mishra were present.
